Castilleja school delegates from US meet AP CM
Hyderabad, Jun 11 (UNI) A delegation from the renowned Castilleja School, US, led by Ms Joan Lonergan today met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, to explore exchange programmes and understand primary and secondary level education in the State.
Thanking the delegation MR Reddy said, it was an honour to have delegates from a school of such repute visiting the state and exploring synergies in education system.
He also thanked Ms Joan Lonergan, the Head of the School, for detailing the proposed education system for women and welcomed summer exchange programmes for students from Castgilleja.
''Numerous steps will be taken to empower women from their early stage to become leaders of tomorrow'', he said While thanking the Chief Minister she said the interaction with Mr Reddy helped her to learn more about the state.
Castilleja is a 99-years-old girls' school, known for innovation, research, and experience to prepare young women for a bright career.
It is the only non-sectarian All Girls' Middle and High School in San Francisco Bay Area, USA.
