Harrison, New York, June 11 (UNI) Arjun Atwal's form suddenly ditched him when he reached the turn and a card of two-over 73 put to rest his hopes of a top-10 finish as the Orlando-based Indian ended tied 59th after the penultimate round in the Barclays Classis here.

This was Atwal's worst round of the week so far and he aggregated a three-day total of three-over 216.

Starting on his back nine, Atwal, however, looked in prime form as he overcame a couple of dropped shots to finish his halfway journey at one-under.

Atwal's world went topsy-turvy as he resumed his journey. The dropped shot on the second hole marked the beginning of a bogey hat-trick and as if it was not enough, the Kolkata pro dropped two more on the par-four seventh hole. Signing off with back-to-back birdies could not compensate for the damage and Atwal returned two-over 73 as his form soared only to slump.

After failing to make cut in his last four appearances, Atwal finally broke the jinx at the Westchester County Club.

At the top of the table. American Billy Andrade fired a two-under 69 to grab the lead at eight-under 205, one stroke adrift of overnight leader Vijay Singh and Adam Scott.
