12 years' imprisonment for smuggling smack

Mandsaur, MP, June 11 (UNI) A special court here has sentenced a drug peddler to 12 years' imprisonment on the charge of smuggling smack and fined him Rs one lakh, failing which his term would be extended by two years.

According to prosecution, Chhagnilal Patidar was arrested by police with 3.5 kg smack on June 26, 2003.

Judge Ullas Bapat delivered the verdict on June 9.
