'TN will toe Centre's line on Sri Lankan issue'
Chennai, June 10: Taking exception to a report in an English daily, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today reiterated that his government would pursue the same approach being followed by the Centre on the Sri Lankan issue.
In a statement here, the Chief Minister said he had clearly stated during a press conference yesterday that Tamil Nadu would toe the line of the Centre on the issue and would not contradict its stand.
But the English daily had stated, 'Tamil Nadu's stand would differ from that of the Union Government.'' ''This is a misleading and mischievous report...What I said has been totally distorted, twisted and published,'' he alleged.
