TFA camp in Dhaka

Jamshedpur, June 10 (UNI) While the whole world is gripped with football fever as the month-long soccer extravaganza -The FIFA world cup -- has already kicked off, the budding footballers of Tata Football Academy (TFA) and Bangladesh will remain engaged in a week-long training camp in Dhaka from June 14 to 20.

TFA and Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) would jointly organize the camp in which the cadets of the Academy and the finalists of the Bangladesh National School Football Championship 2006 and the coaches from the top 16 Bangladesh teams would be trained by the coaches of the TFA led by chief coach Ranjan Chowdhury.

The training camp would end with a friendly match between the best talents of the camp and the TFA on June 21, the TFA sources said.

BFF president S.M.Sultan hoped that the training camp would be a step to develop football in Bangladesh and would help to groom the young talents in the country, the sources said.

Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) president Lieutenant General Ahmed U Moeen is likely to visit Tata Steel in June or July to oversee the sports infrastructure of the company, the sources added.
