Ten School children fall ill after consuming Mid-day meal

Mysore, June 10 (UNI) Ten school children of a Primary School in Doora Village, near here, fell ill due to suspected food poisoning today.

Police said the children started vomiting after eating Mid-day meal at the school and they were admitted to K R Hospital here.

Nine children were treated as outpatients and one admitted to the hospital.

The School has a strength of 280 and about 100 had taken their meal in the first batch when the school authorities found a lizard in the food and immediately stopped serving and the quick action saved other children from being affected.

Hospital sources said that all the children were out of danger.
