Suspected cattle lifter shot

Gede (Nadia), Jun 09 (UNI) A suspected cattle smuggler was killed in a crossfire between the BSF and BDR at Gede in Nadia district along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

According to BSF sources the skrimish took place when BSF tried to thwart the entry of some cattle smugglers into the Indian side.

The BDR opened fire and the BSF retaliated. In the crossfiring one person was killed. It was suspected that he was an inflitrator, the sources said.
