Rural bank employees on strike
Patna, Jun 09 (UNI) Officers and employees of the Regional Rural Banks in Bihar today joined their colleagues across the country in observing one day token strike to protest the non-fulfilment of their charter of demands by the management.
General secretary of the Association of Rural Bank Employees D.N.Trivedi said 70,000 employees and officers of 14,500 branches across the country were on strike demanding pay scale, pension and retirment benefits at par with the employees of the commercial banks.
Mr Trivedi said officers and employees would be forced to proceed on indefinite strike if their demands were not accepted.
