Bhopal, June 10 (UNI) Industrialists making capital investment in Madhya Pradesh will be given more concessions and facilities as compared to in its neighbouring states.

A decision to this effect was taken here yesterday at a meeting of the cabinet sub-committee, headed by state Industries Minister Babulal Gaur, constituted to make ammendmends to make the existing industrial policy more viable.

It was decided in principle that more exemptions would be given to the investors as compared to the concessions being provided in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat. It was also decided to study the concessions being provided in the neighbouring states.

''We will have to consider the issue of granting concessions and exemptions to industries in order to attract entrepreneurs to the state,'' Mr Gaur said. However, Finance Minister of Madhya Pradesh Raghavji said the concessions to be given to the industries should not be more than those being given in other states.

State Industries Principal Secretary O P Rawat gave details of the steps being taken to attract investments in key areas of development apart from industrial sector.

There was consensus on giving exemptions to industries in respect of stamp duty and registration fee.

Various suggestions received from industries and raised during the state conclave of industrialists at Indore were also discussed.
