Lady Chatterjee thrills in animated presence

Kolkata, June 10 (UNI) Kolkata got its own version of Hollywood flick 'Simone' when Saregama launched its first animated item girl-Lady Chatterjee.

Kolkata was first formally introduced to Lady Chatterjee at at a hip music corner by creator of Lady Chatterjee's album Sawan Dutta, creator of the animated character C B Arun Kumar and Atul Churamani, Vice-president, Saregama India ltd.

C B Arun Kumar yesterday gave a demonstration of how the character was created. Sawan Kumar sang a couple of numbers from the album and a song by Tagore, while Atul spoke about the marketing of the album.

''Lady Chatterjee has Aishwarya's eyes, Angelina Jolie's lips and Nicole Kidman's nose, she is intelligent and......she is a Bengali from our very own Kolkata,'' he said.

The album has fast-paced electronica-laced dance tracks and slower ballads. The language that followed is an equal mix of English, Hindi with a smattering of Bengali thrown in.

''Lady Chatterjee is all set to turn the brigade of item girls on screen green with envy and we definitely hope to see more of her in times to come,'' Kumar said.
