Gramin nets profit

Kannur Jun 10 (UNI) North Malabar Gramin Bank earned operational profit of Rs 16.59 Crore and net profit of Rs 9.57 crore in the last year.

Chirman of the Bank S S Shet said Bank proposed to achieve a business of Rs 2200 crore by March, 2007 and disburse loans of Rs 925 crore during the current fiscal under different lending schemes.

The bank's deposits reached Rs 1075 crore and the advances touched Rs 1125 crore. It also aimed at reducing the NPA to less than 2.5 per cent, he added.
