Father nabbed for raping minor girl

Junagadh, Gujarat, June 10 (UNI) A 50-year-old father was arrested for allegedly raping his minor daughter at Char village of Keshod tehsil in Junagadh district.

According to the Keshod police, the victim's mother, in her complaint, has stated that the father beat up the girl before raping her, as she tried to ward off his sexual advances.

At the time of incident, the mother was away from home, and after she learnt about the incident, she immediately took the victim to a nearby health centre for medical treatment and filed the police complaint.

The girl is being examined by the local health authorities.

A rape case has been registered against the father and further investigations were on, police added.
