Fasting Cong legislator forcibly admitted to hospital
Sirohi, June 10 (UNI) Rajasthan Congress legislator Saiyam Lodha, who is on indefinite fast since June 4, in protest against alleged irregularities in National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, has been admitted to a hospital forcibly.
The police admitted Sirohi legislator Lodha and deputy district Pramukh Moti Lal Garasiya to a hospital after forcibly taking them away from their dharna site.
Acting district Collector Rajiv Jain led a team of officials to the dharna site last night and told Lodha the government has agreed to all his demands of providing workers a minimum wage of Rs 73. And hence he should end his 'dharna.' When Lodha wanted a written assurance, the officers were not able to produce it.
Later, around 0330 hrs, the police team encircled the the dharna site and forcibly took away Lodha and Garsiya and admitted them to the hospital.
