Day temperatures rise in HP, J

Pune, June 10 (UNI) In the regions where the South West monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Chattisgarh and were above normal in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab and East Madhya Pradesh.

They were appreciably below normal in East Uttar Pradesh.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in West Bengal and Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at few places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Konkan and Goa, Rayalseema, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at isolated places in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Gujarat State.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at many places in coastal and North interior Karnataka.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in Orissa, Bihar, Marathwada and Rayalseema.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in West Bengal and Sikkim and at few places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Aruachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, South interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
