Children live with grand parents: Kalam

Hyderabad, June 10 (UNI) Expressing concern over the declining joint family culture in the country , President APJ Abdul Kalam today suggested that the children should live with their grand parents.

Stating that the nuclear family was emerging as a trend in the lives of the urban people who were not being in contact with their grand parents, Dr Kalam said the parents should also encourage their children to spend some time with their grand parents who would teach them moral values and their experiences.

''I came from joint family where I learnt a lot about the life,'' he said while addressing the industrialists at a programme organized by Federation of Andhra PRadesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI).
