Blast victim family gets Rs 3 lakh compensation

Surat, June 10: Family members of the four children who lost their lives in the grenade attack at Kashmir, received compensation from both Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat governments.

The compensation, of about Rs 3 lakh for each family was distributed yesterday by state Water Resources Minister Narottam Patel at the victim's residence in Mamaleshwar, here.

''Jammu and Kashmir government contributed Rs 2 lakh for each victim and Gujarat government contributed Rs 1 lakh to each of the victims,'' office of the district collector told UNI here.

Jariwala family lost four children, after a grenade attack on their bus, while they were holidaying in Kashmir, last month.
