B Tech student commits suicide

Lucknow, June 10 (UNI) A final year B Tech student allegedly committed suicide by hanging at his hostel room of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) in Madiaon area here.

Police said the body of Puneet Sachan -- a resident of Kanpur -- was found hanging from the ceiling fan today after the door of his room at Raman hostel was broken.

According to police, Puneet committed suicide two days back.

The reason behind the suicide was yet to be ascertained.

A case has been registered.
