Ancheri weighs option between Mohun Bagan and Md Sporting

New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) Forward and former India captain Jo Paul Ancheri ruled out a return to Kerala and said he is weighing his option between Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting.

Talking to UNI here last night, the veteran forward said, ''I'm not going back to FC Kochin. I'm in touch with both Mohun Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting and let's see what comes out of this.

''The discussion is on and a clearer picture will emerge in the next few days,'' added the forward, who formed a lethal attack with his long-time friend IM Vijayan.

Ancheri is no alien to Kolkata and he joined Mohun Bagan in 1993-94 from State Bank of Travancore, before spending the next two seasons with JCT Mills (Phagwara) and FC Kochin.

He returned to Mohun Bagan for the 1998-99 season and came back again to don East Bengal colours in 2001-02 before again joining the Bagan side last year.
