Yechuri finds fault with President's decision

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Communist Party of India (Marxist) Politbureau member Sitaram Yechuri today criticised President A P J Abdul Kalam for returning the controversial Office of Profit Bill to Parliament.

Talking to reporters, Mr Yechuri said it appeared that Dr Kalam had not applied his mind while taking the decision to send the Bill back.

Stating that neither Parliament nor Judiciary had defined the office of profit clearly, he said it should be defined immediately to avoid unnecessary controversies.

The Office of Profit Bill was passed in Parliament amid protests from the opposition parties during the extended budget session.
