Two killed in accident at railway crossing
Amritsar, June 9 (UNI) Two people were killed and an equal number seriously injured when a train rammed into a tractor-trolley at an unmanned railway crossing on Amritsar-Pathankot section, near here, today.
The accident occurred at C-8 railway crossing between Jethuwal and Kathunangal at around 1045 hrs, the Railway officials here said.
The deceased were identified as Narinder Singh and Amandeep Singh, while the injured are Satnam Singh and Kuldeep Singh.
All the four were travelling in the tractor-trolley when they were trapped at the crossing and hit by the train which was on its way to Amritsar.
