Sewing Systems forms JV with Hansel Textile Systems

Bangalore, June 9 (UNI) Sewing Systems, a city-based garment firm, and Hansel Textile Systems, a German company, today announced that they have formed a joint venture for bigger expansion and exposure in the Indian market.

Hansel Chairman Wolfgang Schulte told reporters here that the main focus would be on supplying interlining solutions to the apparel export industry, growing at a healthy rate, and the domestic industry.

The company would also focus on offering a range of products specially suited to the automotive industry, a high growth industry in the Indian market, he said.

''It is our desire to associate with a competent Indian company as we have ambitious growth plans for the Indian market,'' Mr Schulte said.

Hansel would source top quality products both from the existing production facility in Germany as well as the high-tech facility being set up in China, he said.

Sewing Systems Managing Director Pavan Kapoor was also present at the news conference.
