PWI launches industrial water purifying systems in India

New Delhi, June 9 (UNI) Global water purifying equipment major Pentair Water India (PWI) has entered the Indian water market with its international standard industrial systems for water treatment to meet the needs of conscious customers in the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential segments.

Being an integral part of the water treatment industry, Pentair is keenly aware of the demand for better standards by today's customers.

''It is the lack of availability of dependable water treatment systems, with an increasing demand for quality by discerning customers that has prompted Pentair to enter the systems market with these solutions,'' said Mr Gautam Khanna, CEO of Pentair Water India Pvt. Ltd. while launching the systems here last night.

The Pentair range of systems has been designed in-house by the company are manufactured to world class standards at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Goa and other Pentair manufacturing facilities worldwide. All Pentair systems comprise components whose quality is guaranteed by international certifications like ASME, NSF, CE and ISO:9001.

It would be initially focusing on systems with standardised configurations with capacities ranging from 100 litres per hour to 10,000 litres per hour.

The customer partnersip with Pentair could extend across a range of water related solutions including filtration, pumps and pool applications.

PWI has shifted its Research and Development (R&D) Centre from Goa to New Delhi and plans to increase the engineering staff from 90 to 150 by the end of this calendar year.

PWI is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of the 3 billion US dollar Minnesota-based Pentair Group which is a global leader in manufacturing innovative products used worldwide in movement, treatment, storage and enjoyment of water.

Pentair has been catering to the domestic consumers with its Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purifying systems since 1998.

The domestic RO product is available in the price range between Rs 9000 to Rs 15,000 through 150 multi-brand outlets across India.

Indian subsidiary has been growing at 40 per cent per annum in revenues over the last four years. It clocked a turn over 28 million dollars in 2005 and has set a target to achieve 38 million dollars in 2006.
