Over 200 fall ill after taking food at wedding party

Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, June 9 (UNI) More than 200 people fell ill after partaking lunch today at a wedding party in Santanarsipuram, a remote village of Veeraghattam Mandal in the district.

Police said V Krishnamurthy, a resident of the village, hosted the lunch for his son's marriage. The guests fell ill immediately after partaking sweets and started vomitting.

District Collector D V N Vishnu visited the spot and took stock of the situation. The affected persons were reported to be out of danger.
