Little girl captivates Kalam

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) A four-year-old girl charmed President A P J Adbul Kalam when he arrived by a special IAF aircraft from Pune here last night.

Staying awake till late in the night to welcome him, the girl, belonging to Chittor, drew the attention of the President by affectionately calling him ''Thataiah''(grandpa).

Shaking hands with the little girl, who had come along with her aunt, Dr Kalam, who is immensly fond of children, patted her and asked her name, to which she said, ''I am Pujitha.'' The girl also offered a rose to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara who accompanied the President.

N Kamala, a former legislator from Nalgonda, offered the famous Banganapalli Mango variety to the first citizen.
