Law students want exams deferred in Mizoram

Aizawl, Jun 9 (UNI) Law students in Mizoram have voiced objections to preponement of their examinations from September to June this year.

They said they would have little time to study because the examination results of last September were published in February this year.

They have approached the Mizoram University on this matter.

The University officials said they were not averse to deferring the examinations to the same time as last year, provided the Mizoram Law College principal agreed to the deferment.

The law students also said the June examination was untimely considering the World Cup Football this year.

The Mizoram Law College students would be having a meeting on this matter later in the evening today.

The Mizoram University Controller of Examinations had fixed the date of the examinations from June 19.
