Jharkhand BJP Demands Arjun's dismissal
Ranchi, June 9 (UNI) The Jharkhand BJP today demanded the dismissal of Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh for the alleged failure of the NCERT to make available curriculum books to students in the state.
BJP state unit spokesperson Ramesh Pushkar in a statement here said lakhs of students in the state were suffering due to the ''stepmotherly'' treatment of the HRD Ministry and the NCERT was not granting permission to the state to publish books to deal with the scarcity.
''We demand the dismissal of Mr Singh for his irresponsible behaviour in the matter,'' he said.
The state BJP hoped the Chief Minister would raise the issue with the Prime Minister to end the crisis.
