Dubai roads, no-safe zone

Dubai, June 9 (UNI) In the booming metropolis of Dubai, one person gets injured every three hours in traffic accidents, while one fatality occurs every 27 hours.

This was revealed through statistics released by the Dubai Police which showed that a person gets severely injured every 40 hours, while another from moderate injury every 11 hours and within 5.5 hours with common injuries a general feature of the metropolis.

Of these, severe injuries result in disability, statistics suggested.

Around 105 people have died in traffic accidents in the first four months of the year in Dubai. Of these, 26 died in April alone, police said.
