DIET entrance results announced

Hyderabad, Jun 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Primary Education Minister N Rajya Laxmi today announced the results of District Institutes of Educational Training (DIET) 2006 Common Entrance Test results.

About 1.17 lakh students had qualified out of 1.37 lakh appeared for the entrance test.

Announcing the results, Ms Laxmi said the qualified students would get admissions through counselling, organised from June 26 to July ten.

Total seats in Telugu medium was 2300, 650 seats in Urdu and 50 seats in Tamil medium, she said.

The seats would be filled on the basis of merit, she added.
