Defence exhibition inaugurated

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today inaugurated a Defence Exhibition at the Parade grounds here in connection with the 200th anniversary of Secunderabad city.

Spectacular demonstrations by the army contingents, breathtaking flypast by Suryakiran Aerobatic Team formed the part of the two-day celebrations. Dr Reddy also visited various stalls put up by the forces exhibiting weaponry, history, equipments of the armed forces.

Band display, Sky Diving, Flypast by the Suryakiran team, Drills, Para Sailing and Torch Display would be demonstrated by the Defence personnel during the exhibition.

The Akash Ganga team of 10 PARA jumpers led by Wing Commander M I K Reddy, Chief Administrative Officer of Airforce station here, performed sky diving and handed over the flag marking the celebrations to the Chief Guest and City Mayor T Krishna Reddy.

Besides forces personnel, a large of general public witnessed the demonstrations.
