CLTA trainees win laurels at Patiala

Chandigarh, Jun 9 (UNI) The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) trainees Mandeep Singh Gill and Ms Noor Paul won the under-16 boys and girls titles at the Naresh Memorial AITA Talent Series Tournament here today.

While Mandeep Singh beat Ujjwal Khanna 7-2, 4-6, 6-2, Noor Paul overpowered Navjot Saini 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 in their respective finals.

Earlier, one of the CHART trainees of CLTA, Ashwani Kumar, had reached the semifinals of the tournament and Paramveer Singh Toor and Anupam Chettri, also CHART trainees of CLTA, had reached the semi finals of the doubles event.
