Atwal, Daniel Chopra tied at 68th in Barclays Classic
Harrison, New York, June 9 (UNI) A bogey-ridden front nine marred Arjun Atwal's opening day show and the Orlando-based golfer was joined by Indian-born Swede Daniel Chopra at tied 68th after identical rounds of one-over 72 in the Barclays Classic here.
On a soggy Westchester Country Club, Atwal started on his back nine and was greeted with a bogey on the 10th. He dropped a shot each on the 12th, 14th and 17th before eventually managing to salvage himself with three birdies.
Daniel Chopra, meanwhile, looked erratic and had a roller-coaster opening round in which he mixed four birdies and five bogeys to join Atwal at tied 68th.
Australian Adam Scott posted a six-under 65 to grab a one-stroke lead.
