3 killed as van hits truck in TN

Tiruchirapalli, Jun 9 : A head-on collision between a van and a container truck killed three persons and injured an equal number at Pangunipaalam, here this morning.

Police sources said the van driver lost control of the vehicle after one of the tyres burst resulting in the mishap.

The van was on its way to Chennai from Palyamkottai while the container truck was proceeding to Tuticorin from Chennai.

The injured persons have been admitted to a private hospital in the city.
