Ultra-sound centre sealed under PNDT act

Chandigarh, June 8 (UNI) Faridabad district authorities today sealed an ultra sound centre in Palwal for violating the Pre-Natal Determination Techniques (PNDT) Act.

The District Advisory Committee, constituted for checking female foeticide, sealed the Avani Ultra sound centre for three months, an official spokesman said.

The ultrasound machine of the centre had also been sealed by the Committee after gross irregularities came to light during a raid conducted by a Health Department team.
