SW monsoon lashes Bihar
Pune, June 8 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigourous in Bihar. In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably to markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and were below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and north Gujarat. They were normal over the rest of the region.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Jharkhand and Bihar.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in west Bengal, Sikkim, south Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar islands and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, north Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh state, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.
Mainly dry weather will prevail in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka and at many places in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar islands, and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, east Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, kerala and Lakshadweep.
