Making someone laugh is an art: Qureshi

Jabalpur, June 8 : Madhya Pradesh-based artiste Ehsan Qureshi, who featured in STAR TV's 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Show', says ''it is not an easy task to make people laugh in the rush and tumble of present-day existence.'' ''Most people have become so caught up in competition and race for luxury that they are unable to find space for sharing lighter moments with family and friends,'' Qureshi, who hails from Barghat village in tribal-dominated Seoni district, told UNI here.

Pointing out that making someone laugh is an art, he said the show aided him in obtaining work in two productions including 'Bombay to Goa', which producer Tinnu Anand completed filming in only 20 days.

When asked why he selected actress Mallika Sherawat as the butt of his jokes, Qureshi said, ''She does not dress as per the country's culture and her scantily-dressed appearances in movies are much-debated.''
