Law department issues notification on Shahabuddin cases
Patna, June 8 (UNI) The Bihar Law Department today issued a notification for setting up two separate special courts for hearing cases involving controversial RJD MP Mohammed Shahabuddin.
State Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah told newspersons here that one court would be of an additional district judge, while another would be a sessions court.
He said a room of Siwan district jail, where Mr Shahabuddin was presently lodged, had been converted into the special court.
Mr Shahabuddin was allegedly involved in various offences ranging from possessing foreign make firearms, foreign currency, theft of power, theft of vehicles and other crimes.
