Infosys to train 125 interns

Bangalore, June 8 (UNI) Infosys Technologies Limited is expecting 125 interns at its city campus this year, as part of its global internship program - InStep.

In keeping with academic cycles across different countries, these students would arrive on the campus all through the year. Infosys today played host to 50 interns from leading US, European and Asian universities, according to a company release here today.

The interns represent 81 prestigious varsities across countries such as the US, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Korea and Philippines, the release said.

The InStep program, started in 1999, was an intensive eight to 24 week internship program that gave selected students hands-on experience across various projects within the company. It received over 12,000 applications for 125 positions annually, it said.
