Head constable arrested for taking bribe
Srinagar, June 8 : Jammu and Kashmir Vigilance Organisation (VO) has arrested a head constable of state police while accepting bribe.
A VO spokesman said a compliant was filed by Siraj-ud-Din Rather that head constable Ali Mohammad Magray was demanding Rs one thousand as bribe.
The accused promised to favour him during the investigation in a case filed in police station Parimpora.
He said a trap was laid by the VO team and police official was caught red handed for accepting an amount of Rs 10OO.
The bribe was received from Head Constable in a local tea stall at Qamarwari and was recovered by the Vigilance team on spot.
The Head Constable has been taken into custody, the VO spokesman addedd.
