Congress to discuss Siddaramaiah issue on June 9
Bangalore, Jun 8: Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today said the question of former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah joining the Congress will be taken up by the party tomorrow in New Delhi.
Talking to reporters here, he said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President Mallikarjuna Kharge and himself would go to New Delhi to hold discussions with party President Sonia Gandhi.
The All India Progressive Janata Dal leeder, along with his supporers, had played a crucial role in electing Congress' fourth candidate in the recently held Legislative Council polls. Mr Siddaramaiah had openly defied the whip issued by Janata Dal (Secular), to which he technically belonged in the Assembly, and voted for the Congress candidate.
Criticising Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy for his stand to take over the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project, Mr Singh said it would create hindrance in developmental activities and not help in attracting more investments to the State.
