BJYM makes bonfire of vehicles
Jabalpur, Jun 8 (UNI) Four old two-wheelers were symbolically torched by the BJYM local unit activists today in protest against the recent hike in fuel prices and a ''donkeys' procession'' is on the cards tomorrow.
The vehicles were torched at the Damoh Naka Chowk by several sloganeering workers led by BJYM Town President Kamlesh Agrawal, who was responding to the BJP's call for a nationwide agitation on the issue.
Police personnel were present on the scene to prevent any violence.
''Our protest demonstration will continue. About a dozen donkeys will be paraded tomorrow afternoon,'' said Mr Agrawal.
A cycle rickshaw rally was taken out yesterday.
