Two killed in road accident in UP

Varanasi, June 8 : Two people including a women were killed and six others injured when a SUV collided head-on with a truck in Rohania area here.

Police said the mishap occured yesterday near Rohania Bazaar, when the SUV carrying the family of a prominent pediatrician, Rajendra Pathak, collided with a truck.

Two people including his sister-in-law Sudha Pathak and the driver of the car were killed.

Six others including three children and a woman were injured in the accident.

The injured had been admitted to hospital.

The truck driver, Sadhu Yadav, had also been detained, police added.
