Worker kills officer over due salary

Ongole, Jun 7 (UNI) A worker with Non-Muster Roll (NMR) company today reportedly killed an Assistant Engineer in the Rural Water Supply Department for not paying salary for the past two months in Markapuram police limits here.

The police sources said the accused Hanuma Reddy entered into a heated argument with officer Hemendra Rao and smashed his head with a stone killing him on the spot.

The accused later surrendered before the police.
