Two drug peddlers get 10-yr RI

Anand, Gujarat, June 7 (UNI) A local fast track court today sentenced two drug-peddlers to 10-year rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs one lakh, in a drug case of 2003.

Fast Track Court Judge P K Gulanani sentenced -- Anwar Pathan and his accomplice Firdosh Pathan -- to 10-year RI and fined for allegedly possessing two kg of brown sugar.

The judge also said if the duo failed to pay the fine they would have to undergo RI for another two months.

The duo were arrested by sleuths of Ahmedabad Narcotic Cell from the State transport bus-depot at Kheda, about 45 km from here, on January 30, 2003.
