Silver, gold open down on discouraging global advice

Mumbai, June 7: Values of silver and gold opened lower on poor demand along with reports of bearish advice from global markets, traders at the bullion market today said.

Following were the opening rates today: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 18,045, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,345, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,390.
