Sensex opens on red by 38 pts at 9,919 pts
Mumbai, June 7: Sensex opened in red by 38 points at 9,919.28 compared to the previous close of 9,957.35.
All the Asian markets were down today, lead by Nikkei, Kosti, Taiwan Straits and Hang Seng.
Hike in domestic oil price and also the statement by oil ministry that there is no plans of role back yet, had effected the sentiment of the investors in the opening move.
Simillarly CNX, Nifty has also opened in the red by 31 pts at 2,906.20.
Major players who have lost on the index are ITC, Hindalco, Hero Honda, Tata steel and Gujarat Ambuja.
The only gainer was Reliance Industries.
Currently the sensex is trading at 10,008.5 which is almost 60 points up from the previous close.
