Senior advocate appointed as Advocate General
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 7 (UNI) Senior advocate Sudhakar Prasad will be the new Advocate General in Kerala, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said today.
Talking to newspersons here, after a meeting of the State Cabinet, the Chief Minister said it was also decided to appoint Sreeram Bharat as the Managing Director of the Nedumbasseri International Airport.
CPI(M) leader M V Jayarajan had been appointed as the non-official member to the Kerala State Electricity Board.
Referring to the recent reshuffle of top officials without the Cabinet approval, Mr Achuthanandan said a new Home Secretary and other officials were appointed as per the request of the Minister concerned. The decision could be ratified at the subsequent Cabinet, he added.
He said seven employees of the State Secretariat, who were dismissed from the service by the previous Government for participating in a strike, would be taken back in service.
The Chief Minister also said a legislation would be enacted to solve the issues in the admission and fee structure in the self-financing professional colleges.
