Rupee opens strong by 78 paise

Mumbai, June 7: Today Indian currency, rupee opened strong by 78 paise at Rs 45.78/USD compared to the previous close of 45.92/USD according to a RBI spokesperson.

In the mid-morning session rupee was trading at 45.93/USD.

Sensex opened in the red by 38 points.
