Monsoon likely to break over MP on June 13
Bhopal, Jun 7 (UNI) The South-West Monsoon is expected to break over Madhya Pradesh on June 13 as compared to last year's date of June 24.
''The monsoon reached Chhattisgarh after a low pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal off the Orissa coast. Subsequently, moisture-laden winds advanced towards Bihar and Uttar Pradesh,'' Regional Meteorological Centre Director D P Dubey told UNI today.
On the other side, monsoon winds were restricted to Gujarat as of now. Moist winds would cause showers in eastern and western Madhya Pradesh over the next 24 hours. The effect would be pronounced in Jabalpur and Rewa. Besides, rain is likely at some places in Bhopal, Indore, Hoshangabad and Ujjain divisions.
