Ministers support Hooda, rap Bishnoi over Reliance issue
Chandigarh, Jun 7 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today drew support from his cabinet colleagues who rapped Congress MP from Bhiwani, Kuldeep Bishnoi for crticising the land deal with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for a Multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
''It is unfortunate on the part of Mr. Bishnoi and the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leaders to raise an issue which was for the development of the state,'' Forests and Tourism Kiran Choudhry said. ''Being a member of the Congress Party, Mr Bishnoi should have refrained from joining the opposition party that had been completely exposed and had been rejected outrightly by the people.
Such irresponsible statements from the Congress Party MP malign the image as well as create indiscipline in the party,'' she said.
''If Mr Bishnoi had any grievance or difference of opinion against the functioning of the Government, he should have raised his voice at the party forum instead of going to the press,'' she said.
Haryana Health Minister, Ms Kartar Devi also advised Mr Bishnoi to behave like a loyal member of the Congress Party and desist from publically criticising the style of functioning of Congress government in the State headed by Mr Hooda.
