Manjunath's murder case posted for July 6
Lakhimpur Kheri, June 7 (UNI) The district court today posted the hearing in the murder case of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) marketing officer S Manjunath for July 6.
Meanwhile, the statement of one witness Tarsem Singh was recorded in the court of district judge S M A Abdi.
Two other witnesses, however, failed to appear in the court.
The court also issued a bailable warrant of Rs 25,000 against a witness, Rajendra Singh. Another witness Balwinder Kaur was issued with a notice directing him to appear in the court.
The case hearings continued in succession for three days from June 5, wherein the statement of six witnesses were recorded.
Manjunath -- an Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) alumni -- was allegedly shot dead by hired criminals on November 19 last year, when he objected to malpractices at a petrol outlet in Lakhimpur.
His IIM-L classmates were also present during the case hearings.
